Meet David

 

As a Financial Advisor, David strives to help clients prepare for tomorrow by implementing sound financial planning today. His career in financial services has been marked by over a decade of dedicated client service and strategic advice. His proactive approach to helping clients implement wealth accumulation and preservation strategies accelerates their paths toward financial growth and stability.

A graduate of Morgan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, David also earned a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Baltimore and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland, Francis King Carey School of Law. As an attorney and member of the Maryland Bar, David brings a unique perspective to financial planning as he combines legal insight with financial acumen.

He previously served as the Vice President and Trust Advisor at PNC Wealth Management, where he focused on providing trust administration and estate planning to private clients. He also served as a Client Advisor and Private Client Relationship Associate at Brown Advisory.

David joined Jacob William Advisory from UPD Consulting, where he worked as a Business Strategy Advisor and led UPD’s efforts to expand the reach of its change management approach to helping companies improve organizational performance and enhance business outcomes. His journey at UPD followed his tenure as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Brown Advisory, where he was instrumental in embedding DEI values into the firm’s culture while enhancing its engagement with clients, colleagues, and communities.

Outside of work, David can often be found putting effort into reinvesting in our communities. He serves on the board of Compassionate Homes for Veterans, a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing homelessness among veterans in Maryland.
